Andriy Saranenko’s path in finance led from the risk department of a bank to the CFO’s office of a construction company and then to private capital. Here it is, step by step.

Andriy Saranenko’s education and CFA charter
Andriy studied finance and credit at Lviv Polytechnic National University and graduated in 2011.
In 2016 he earned the international Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charter. He passed all three levels of the CFA exams on the first attempt, which puts him among the few people in Ukraine to have done so.
First job: corporate risk at a bank
Andriy began his career as an analyst in the corporate risk department of a regional bank branch.
Capital Standard: appraising energy and development companies
In 2014 he moved to Capital Standard, an investment company in Kyiv. His work there was assessing how attractive energy and real estate development companies were as investments.
Saranenko as CFO of West Development
In 2018 Andriy became chief financial officer of the construction company West Development. He carried out a full restructuring of the company’s debt obligations and set up a management accounting system.
